Summary – Our client company is searching for a Construction Project Manager for a 5+ year construction project.  This person will plan all aspects of our role in the construction project including:  oversee project to ensure on time and on budget operations, management, budgeting, organization, implementation, scheduling and reporting of all aspects of the project.

Required Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in industrial construction with a demonstrated track record of project success
  • 5 or more years in the management role, in complex projects (about $100 Mil or larger)
  • Bachelor Degree in an engineering discipline or technology
  • Interfacing with and reporting to a highly sophisticated client/owner
  • Superior leadership, collaboration and communication skills
  • Highest regard for and established track record in Health and Safety
  • Strong project and control systems, cost re-forecasting, auditing, QA/QC, and risk management oversight and experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Proficiency with CPM scheduling programs
  • Project schedule creation and recruitment of human resources talent to match job requirements
  • Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings and plan sets
  • Advanced understanding of risk management policies and procedures
  • Extensive experiencing managing budgets for large construction projects
  • Ability to plan and see the “big picture”

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct construction project from beginning to end
  • Successfully manages the project ensuring that project goals are met in accordance with established budgets and schedules as expected by the owner / EPCM.
  • Accountable for all of the company’s operations compliance with regulations, including occupational health, safety and environment
  • Ensures that all project team employees in the workplace take responsibility for aspects of Occupational Health and Safety over which they have control, including adherence to all Occupational Health and Safety requirements and other applicable requirements

 

  • Provide mastery of the project plan, processes, organization and implementation details  of all aspects of the project
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors priorities and work assignments
  • Responsible for meeting contractual conditions of performance
  • Review and report the work progress on daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Review and report all labor on a daily basis
  • Review and report all inventories on a daily basis
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job progress and status
  • Provide proactive planning to prevent and anticipate any problems
  • Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
  • Participate in daily meetings on-site with owner / EPCM, and construction crew
  • Coordinate the logistics of material supply, equipment maintenance, employee scheduling, and jobsite security

The Construction Project Manager will manage the strategic aspects of the project as well as the daily aspects of the project to mitigating any risks. The Construction Project Manager will be focused on our relationship with the owner / EPCM and together with the owner / EPCM will build a sustainable relationship for success.

The successful candidate will assume a broad range of responsibilities for overall project management, will be a focused leader who can control, direct, adapt and proactively implement change management to advance and improve efficiency across facets of this complex project.
