Project Controls Manager

The Project Controls Manager is responsible for the management and execution of project controls systems, and processes.  The Project Controls Manager works with the project team to manage multiple tasks associated with advancing the project.  This person provides project status and progress to management, identifies and reports issues and takes measures to correct deficiencies by applying industry best practices and/or facilitating meetings with team management to raise and resolve issues.

Duties
Develop project control plan for the development of work scope definition, preliminary estimates, budgets, plans, schedules, scope changes and resource requirements.
Develop and document control procedures and plans
Oversee and direct all work activities regarding project controls for the project(s) assigned.
Develop criteria for schedules and oversee their development
Review and approve deviations to the project plan and schedule
Develop and obtain management and legal reviews of agreements and contracts for services

Implement and manage field change order process
Schedule and conduct project meetings with contractors, consultants and staff.
Report project status (cost, schedule and resources)
Develop recovery plan for project problems
Report progress as required

The successful candidate will possess a 4 year degree in an engineering or other appropriate field of study and shall demonstrate experience and knowledge in administering project controls in industrial project settings.

The Project Controls Manager will be assigned to the Company’s Sulfide Project team.  The mine is located in eastern Turkey.  The $400 million Sulfide Project is entering feasibility status and, upon positive findings from the feasibility study, will immediately enter engineering design, procurement, and construction with an anticipated commissioning schedule beginning in mid-2014.
