SUMMARY:
The increasing world wide demand for raw materials has stimulated record growth in the mining industry, domestically and internationally. This in turn has placed a demand on talent that far outstrips the supply. The long term forecast for the industry and it’s demand for talent is the strongest it has ever been in mining history.
Thus, there are numerous opportunities for mechanical, manufacturing, electrical and civil/structural engineers with material processing and construction experience to leverage their skills into a career in the mining industry. Candidates are obviously in high demand, the compensation is highly competitive and there are significant advancement opportunities. International travel is routine.
We are currently looking for Mining Engineers and Engineers, generally, with material processing and construction backgrounds, at all experience levels, for multiple clients (consulting firms and owners) in the US, Canada and globally. The international compensation packages are quite competitive and usually include bonuses for remote locations.
Desirable attributes include:
o B.S. degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related disciplines
o Effective communication skills – both oral and written, as well as solid interpersonal and problem solving skills
o Highly motivated – possess the willingness to accept a challenge and successfully accomplish a set of goals…self starting
o Superior work standards and a professional presence.
o Effective planning ability with respect to engineering and supervisory activities
o Any experience with mine or facility modeling software is a plus
