Senior Mine Engineer – LTP

Summary: Our client operates a well established open pit gold mine, situated SW of the town of Winnemucca, Nevada. We are working with them to identify a Senior Mine Engineer – Long Term Planning.

The Senior Mine Engineer is responsible for, but not limited to the following:

• All short and long term mine project planning, including coordinating and developing reserve evaluations, mine plans and permit applications
• Developing optimal long-term mine plans that will meet production commitments.
• Preparing cost and economic evaluations of alternative mining scenarios
• Providing minable reserve and life-of-mine production and cost planning which addresses mining, processing and reclamation through mine closure on an annual basis
• Supporting the development of permit applications to assure that appropriate permits are in place in a timely manner
• Providing engineering, planning, and economic evaluation for outside projects as required

Qualifications/Experience etc:

• BS Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent
• 7+ years mine engineering and operations experience in similar surface mining environment
• Experience developing and implementing economic analyses and financial evaluations for properties, projects, and cost improvement alternatives.
• Strong mine planning software skills
• Strong background with computer spreadsheets and word processing also required
• Supervisory experience with both technical and non technical personnel
• Able to work in the USA without company sponsorship
