Company Information:
Our clients strategic plan calls for maximizing the value of and revenue from its existing assets and accelerating the Company’s exploration and production activities The Company’s existing exploration, development and mining teams have a recognized track record of discovery, development and profitable operation: they are well capitalized and presently employ about 1,250 people in four countries.
General Job Duties:
- Design and implement a coordinated exploration plan and budget to achieve the goals and objectives consistent with the Company’s overall strategic business plan
- Review additional land acquisitions that are needed for facilities, buffer or exploration
- Help manage a team consisting of staff geologists and consultants as required, to integrate multiple data sets, enhance data quality and encourage use of state-of-the-art technology to optimize exploration success
- Report exploration results and expenditures to the President and CEO on a regular basis
- Supervise and co-ordinate resource and reserve estimations in compliance with
NI 43-101 requirements
General Management/Leadership
- An executive with drive, energy and perspective who will build the company’s portfolio of assets to take the company to the next level
- Strong presence and presentation skills – comfortable dealing with people in the field, in the boardroom and the investment community
- Ability to evaluate new areas that will strategically align with the Company’s current land holdings, as demonstrated by previous projects and achievements
- Communication – an effective, confident communicator who can present his/her ideas in a concise and organized manner
- Team player – an ability to work effectively with other team members in a fast paced environment with an open, honest and consistent style
Requirements/Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Mining Geology or related discipline, preferably with a post graduate degree
- A high standard of reporting capabilities, including collation of technical documents and reports
- Excellent planning, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Some one both inspired and driven to meet the advancement challenges of the Company
