Our Client – is a fast growing Vancouver-based gold exploration/development company with focus on, but not restricted to, Canada. There is potential for this individual to succeed the President of this organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
- ensure that the highest safety, health and environmental standards are met or exceeded
- promote a culture of awareness and commitment to safe working practices amongst all employees and contractors, which will enable a healthy and accident-free working environment.
- participate as a key member of the senior management team and lead the company’s technical, exploration, geology efforts
- provide leadership and vision to the company’s exploration team for multiple projects
- propose exploration and resource development programs, plans, schedules and budgets for final approval by senior management designed to progress our properties to final feasibility
- develop a team consisting of staff geologists and consultants as required, to integrate multiple data sets, enhance data quality and encourage use of state-of-the-art technology to optimize exploration success
- ensure compliance with all necessary operational government regulations and reporting is completed within deadlines
- ensure the timely and effective communication with all staff and Senior Management, including site meetings, summary weekly reports, technical data for press releases and internal technical reports as deemed necessary
- interact and represent the company as appropriate with mining/land use entities, native groups (if required) and local communities
- oversee and coordinate the company’s contractors and consultants
- supervise and co-ordinate resource and reserve estimations in compliance with NI 43-101 requirements
- represent the company at technical meetings and conferences, including presentation of technical papers if the opportunity arises
- approve press releases and other public disclosure documents

Additional Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field required (advanced degree is an asset)
- Professional Licensing is required as individual must be a Qualified Person as defined by Canadian Law
- Minimum of 15-20 years experience in resource exploration/management… with a preference for precious and base metals experience
- Strong leadership, organizational and management skills are essential
