Senior Analyst – Corporate Development

Summary: Our client is a well financed, privately held minerals company, operating worldwide. We are working with them to identify a Senior Analyst, Corporate Development, to be based in their offices in downtown Denver.
The Senior Analyst, Corporate Development is responsible for, but not limited to the following:
- Carrying out investment and financial analysis of potential acquisitions in mineral exploration and development
- Identifying investment targets and defining and communicating strategy with respect to potential investment
- Conducting peer-group analysis
- Conceptualizing and preparing corporate investor presentations
- Carrying out financial analysis related to operating and future mines
Qualifications/Experience etc:
- B Sc in Geology and/or Engineering, plus MBA or equivalent
- 5+ years in mineral exploration, development and operations coupled with intimate knowledge of financial valuation methodology and practice (DCF, NPV, ratio analysis, etc.)
- Knowledge of mineral exploration/development industry
- Excellent inter-personal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a group
- Excellent writing skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PP)
- Good intrinsic understanding of geo-political issues
